Mario Kart Tour

No tiene mucho que ofrecer en comparación a los Mario Kart de consolas y al principio se me hizo muy raro jugarlo en modo vertical, pero con el tiempo te acostumbras. También me gustó que, a diferencia de otros juegos para móviles, aquí puedes progresar sin dificultades y el juego no se siente injusto. Lo único malo es que se vuelve muy repetitivo, a pesar de las actualizaciones constantes.

In Mario Kart Tour your priority isn't getting first place, rather it's grinding your way for the right characters, karts and gliders in order to give you the best abilities so you can max out points in a racing session. If you didn't get that the first time, Mario Kart Tour is a game about getting the most points in a single race through doing tricks, drifts, turns and maybe a few prayers in-between. Get points to get shines which unlock goodies,. There's also challenges, in which you complete them to unlock small cosmetic goodies and also special rubies, which enough of them get you a pipe, which gives you more goodies. There's even a leaderboard system, where you compete with players weekly on your same level on a specific tour, which gives you coins which unlock more goodies. There are many sorts of goodies but most of them aren't really important, the real goodies that you want are the already mentioned characters, karts and gliders and especially the more rare ones that require more luck and grinding, as instead of picking your favorite character in a race you pick characters that best suit your needs for the most points whether it just be the map just gives you magically more points for being that character or that character has a special ability that makes it drop coins everywhere, which is very useful for maintaining point streaks which give you even more points. If you want more goodies, you may pay 5 bucks per month for the Gold Pass, Nintendo's innovation in making money off mobile gamers in which it gives you the ability to unlock more goodies and two new small gamemodes, one of which just serves the purpose of getting more coins every so often, and the other is just a different online play lobby. Let's talk about this game's pipes for a second, as these are the main way to unlock goodies and there are two ways to get these pipes. One is collecting rubies, usually through completing challenges for a pathetic amount, or paying money. The pipes will then net you a small prize pool of random goodies, which is usually not what you would ideally want. Characters, karts and gliders also have rarities, the better characters obviously are more rare but more importantly there's a goodie that can buff characters and they're separated into the rarities, meaning only rare characters take rare buffs and in order to level them up, they must take a lot of them and they can level up so much at a time. In fact, everything in this game takes a huge amount of time and can only sped up through paying. It's a game engineered to psychologically entice mobile gamers to spend more money on a mobile game with Mario's face, and apparently I went all this way without mentioning the game's main gimmick which is tours, a system where they regularly rotate characters, courses and challenges monthly. I didn't expect anything good but I decided to go on the Mario Kart Tour adventure. because hey I like Mario Kart, and I came out of it driven to a breaking point. It is a bad mobile game, maybe good for mobile game standards but awful for Nintendo's slowly declining standards.
