Kinect Star Wars

This might be the worst thing in the Star Wars franchise, this even includes all the dreck from Disney+ as at least nothing Disney has produced comes close to how embarrassing this game feels.

It has four modes to choose from, although chances are, you're only familiar with the galactic dance off due to how much of a meme it was back in the day. I'll get the other modes out of the way quick as they each share the same problem of being unplayable due to unresponsive motion controls, first off there's the main story mode where you're a padawan during the prequel series, it's pretty boring due to how unengaging the story is as well as the shitty motion controls. There's the podrading mode which is basically a bad car simulator but otherwise nothing if note, there's also the rancour mode where you control a rancour act like you're Godzilla by destroying different cities in Tatooine which is far less entertaining than I'm making it out to be. Back to the infamous dance off section, firstly it's the only one where the motion controls are responsive, hence why there so much footage of it online compared to the other modes. This would be fine if it weren't for the fact that its gimmick revolves around watching different Star Wars characters dance to shitty 00s pop music clumsily rewritten to have Star Wars themes to each of them (turning Jason Derulo’s "riding solo" to "I'm Hans solo" might be the worst thing I've ever experienced.) If you thought the sequel trilogy or the later Mandalorian seasons were cringe, at least they don't depict emperor Palpatine shaking his groove thing to a Gwen Stefani track, to say nothing of Princess Leia in her infamous slave bikini dancing to a Christina Aguilera track for Jabba the huts amusement.

With this in mind, I think it's safe to say that fans were relieved that Disney decanonised this game. Sure, what they would bring to the table is by no means great, but it's not at this level of cringe and absurdity.
