Hero's Quest: So You Want to Be a Hero

Well, a problem pop ups here - the VGA version is not another graphical mode, but a whole remake. Although the same goes for ports I think, so there you go.

this is probably my favorite of the old sierra adventure games

This is a lot more ambitious and substantive than most of Sierra's output up to this point, but I was a little let down on this replay by how little actually changes based on your class selection. Multiple solutions to certain puzzles is nice, but the game still plays fundamentally similarly regardless, especially if you go for max points. The stat grinding wouldn't be so annoying either if you had some way to pass time on command. Once you've built up a character the legitimate way once there's not much value in doing so again with a different file. Still, it's a really charming game. Sierra really kicked their shit into gear starting with KQIV.
