Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA

As a whole, it's a pretty great first entry for the series, but at the same time I'm glad that Project DIVA has come a long way from here. With the mechanics being expanded upon as early as the follow-up, it's somewhat difficult to return to this after future entries. And the fact that some song's MVs consist entirely of still images is a bit embarrassing. If you only have access to this one game out of every entry in the series, you really can't go wrong with this being your starting point. If you've played future entries, though, I won't really blame you if you come out of this feeling a bit underwhelmed.
