Ladders platformers became a great hit after Donkey Kong, but I'm certain Lode Runner did this same concept just slightly better. The Intellivision port is slightly easier as the collectible munchies give you extra pepper you can use to stop enemies, and with a hefty 5 starting lives. The NES port is accurate to a fault, and is very hard. The easiest port by far is the Colecovision one.
What sort of guy decided huge hitboxes were a good thing on this game?
