Maze chase
Genre
Maze chase is a type of arcade action maze game that situates playable characters inside of a labyrinth, with a primary goal of acquiring cumulative pick-up items, such as dots or coins. One of the earliest and most notable examples of a maze chase game is arguably Pac-Man (1980). The popularity of the game spawned many clone games during the early 1980s, and its mechanics became the basis for which the majority of maze chase games are made on.
