Characters are very different from each other. Their playstyles are fun to use. I ended up using Narumaya mostly due to her simplicity of being a dps.
Cons - Near the end of the story, you really need a stacked party and playing solo, building characters are a grindfest. I ended up just fully building my main which is the dps and then the 2nd character was like 75% built being half dps half buff then the other 2 are mostly upgraded in defense mastery since they are healing/buff/debuff focused.
The variety of enemies aren't big so lots of repeats but they did well on making them distinct enough when it comes to attack patterns.
What could be improveed is for single player, I wish it was like in Tales of Arise where you can switch to another character as a core gameplay. Though I guess the didn't put that mechanic since it would deter from the fact that its a multiplayer game..

It gets a little challenging on certain bosses in endgame content, but it's still too little, most endgame bosses, even at the highest quest difficulty are almost as simple as in their story version, I hope they'll add a lot of content that will be more challenging
Was a little hesitant to pick this up for some reason, something about hearing it was a more MH influenced game. But then I remember that I absolutely love action jrpgs and I love MH and I bought it and it rules lmao really lovely visuals and I love how differently the characters play! Reminds me a bit of the job system in strangers of paradise. Also really refreshing to have a no filler main story that focuses on a light narrative to introduce the world and characters with more spectacle based fights. So far my two favorite characters to play as is Zeita and Reckham. Love me some timing based combos. One reason I’m super skeptical about other developers doing monster hunter style games is that the key design to MH games is the best creature animations in gaming. I like how they don’t attempt to replicate that but rather each boss is more like a regular action jrpg boss power boosted and some ff14 style raid kind of shit. This also adds more variety in bosses too because they aren’t all creature based and aren’t limited to what that entails. Looking forward to diving into end game content!
