why is every game that's even remotely decent get rated so highly here compared to RYM where most "objectively" decent albums struggle to be rated favorably at all
^ and often those smaller sample size groups rate stuff higher because it's a game they scoped out within their own interests and tastes. Maybe they're a fan of the genre or franchise, or a content creator already sold them on the game. With a game as old as this and as a part of a storied franchise like this, you get a lot of people playing this who otherwise wouldn't, and they may like the game less than someone who's playing something they know they'll like.
Different mediums. Because albums can be listened to in half an hour while games are 20 to 100 hour experiences that you normally don't purchase unless you think it's likely you'll already enjoy it.
Most bad games just... don't get played. Or bad games are a lot more rarely made in the first place, comparing the development cost of a game to a song
