I do think it's a pretty cool idea for a game, where you fight against the scrolling screen while completing your objectives of: 1. Doing the Pac-Man thing of collecting all the dots of the screen 2. Putting the books into the skull block looking thing to scare away the devil
It's one of the most unique early NES games out there and I commend it for that. However, this design does have some annoying limitations. Because of the scrolling screen and the enemies not actually being restricted by the screen, you can die pretty unfairly several times, especially since the devil just decides whenever to scroll the screen in any direction and there isn't really a way to predict that.
I wonder what a remastered version of this idea would look like.
