Personal favorite of mine. Never played anything like it. I don't really have any problems with Dead Rising, other than guns are pretty unsatisfying to use I suppose. I might sound crazy but the whole rpg system and being forced to restart a few times were actually some of my favorite parts of the game. Makes it feel like an og rogue lite. You're really not meant to clear the game your first run. By the time that you've restarted a few times, its so rewarding to plow through what youve already been through in a fraction of the time, saving more and more civilians each time. The game really rewards your knowledge and patience and sidequests that felt impossible at first become trivial eventually. Furthermore, the systems remain dynamic enough that each attempt at the same objective always manages to feel different. All time, extremely replayable and unique banger.
Nearly perfect. Only major flaw that I can think of is that the game is super boring after Case 7-2 but everything before then is amazing. Too bad none of CV's sequels even come close to reaching the quality of this one.
