Watching noob3 is the only enjoyable part of this game

the devs dont care about the game- too many bugs, always balancing issues. too bad the game is fun, ive met many people through this game and playing with friends can lead to some great experiences. i do hope another asymmetrical game comes out so the dbd devs try.

A lot of people make the comment that there are no lazy devs, and I don't think thats true. However, that's not the criticism i'd level at DBD. The Devs aren't lazy, they clearly put work into their game, they're just horribly incompetent and feel no reason to need to better themselves or their game because the only competition they have manages to be even worse every single time, or straight up gets shut down for unrelated reasons.

The ranking and matchmaking systems simply don't work, and even if they did that would probably only make the game worse, because a good survivor can effectively break the game, so much so that the only way killers can reliably compete at high level play is by picking killers who can ignore basic gameplay mechanics. The grind is tedious and unrewarding, requiring you to play dozens of games to effectively max out characters, which you need to do to be able to use their perks on other characters, which you'll need since rarely does any character come with more than 1 good perk, if even that. The cosmetics are generally overpriced, and under designed, and the visuals in general are muddy at best, which the game seeming to not use any form of antialiasing at times. Map design is very samey, and tends to favor survivors, while killer designs of late have mostly boiled down to the same concept executed in a different way, that makes playing as them or against them miserable.

If it wasn't for the handful of legitimately fun to play killers, this game would be nightmarish, as it stands it's basically held together with spit, paper mache, and lucrative partnerships.

Bugs and all this was my favorite game to play with friends. But as they add new killers and fix the abysmal loadout times and connection issues, this game has only gotten better over time. I could never play this on my own and play online competitively and have fun with this, but this is my absolute favorite game to play with a group of friends in an Xbox party together. The only thing Among Us has over this is the memes and that more than 5 players can play at a time.
