All of the Alan Wake fanservice (and the moment with Langston rambling on for minutes) is good shit, and the moment where you take out Dr. Hartman at the end is cathartic for a variety of reasons, though outside of that it's fine but definitely the weakest part of Control IMO.
Has almost nothing to do with Alan Wake, though Alan Wake does show up. Really don't recommend this, especially if you were already disappointed by this game or find it kind of boring despite being so stylish.
I really like this DLC a lot, actually, and it makes me really excited for Alan Wake 2. The snippets of Wake we get really dive into the craft of writing in a way that the first game didn't quite make it to, and I really hope they follow that thread for AW2. It was also kind of fun mixing the mechanics from both games, even if it was a little clumsy.
