This, and MW2 (2009). Best competitive FPS games of all time. In this game, forget killstreaks, quickscoping, and grenade spamming. Get you a good squad, a shit bucket, and delete your girlfriends number. Have one friend become an amazing engineer and vehicle operator (both jets and tanks included), have another friend become an amazing medic and support man, have one friend just wreak havoc with an LMG and frontline it all, and let that one friend who sucks to play most games with be a sniper who does his own thing. Caspian Border and Operation Metro are some of the best maps ever made. Though the game offers complex and dynamic options to victory, keep it simple, don't over-think it with class customization; just go and start capturing the objective. RIP Rush, best game mode ever no matter how unfair.

My fav game of the series.

ive played around 1300 hours and makes me sad that the game is pretty much dead in 2023. its hard to explain to someone that never played a bf game why its such a great time especially with friends, so many funny things as c4 on jeeps or going on a crazy killstreak with your friends helping reviving you or trolling people/getting a sick rpg/tank kill against a heli that was very far away.

even tho m16a3 is the king of this game most of the weapons feels amazing even the weak ones like ak-74m/g53, and every class was good. The maps were some of the best in the entire series, vanilla/dlc maps were pretty damn good and offered great variety to gameplay when combined to different gamemodes, noshar canals tdm 64 players was peak bf3 infantry gameplay.

Some things BF3 failed was the campaign but bf campaign was never that good, having terrible suppression, flashlight being a pocket sun, terrible spawn menu, kill assist 100/0% hp, and i guess blue filter tho it never bothered me.

Overall BF3 had one of the best overall packages in any fps and built a prefect blueprint for BF4. Hope one day dice remasters this game :)
