ARK: Survival Evolved

Since Minecraft isn't the end-all-be-all of gaming for me, ARK is already barking up the wrong tree a little bit. I also found it ludicrously difficult; not in the way that dying a couple times teaches you what you should and shouldn't do, just that you'll die a lot no matter what you do. I feel like getting really good at this game is a prerequisite to actually having fun, and the problem is that the better you get the less there is to do in the game. Let's say my base is totally pimped out, I've got a ton of dinos, and I'm no longer randomly dying to spinys that fall out of the sky. Can you build the Taj Mahal with all of your power and resources, or do you just invade servers and bully worse players? Like it just seems like a torture simulator, and there isn't even an endpoint that you can point to an say, "I did it! I beat it!" Its graphical demands also turn your computer into a radiator.

This is a survival game where you progress to get more dinosaurs and... That's basically it. This will be a great game for those who are really into dinosaurs, but I can't say it captures my interesting grinding for the sake of dinos.
