This was a decent game and story, I guess. I completed it on 10/19/2022. Not 100% and I don’t think I’d be compelled to go back and do so. But I would be interested in Control (which I think is loosely tied to it) and I believe a sequel is on the way next year.

This one is pretty good, I guess. Cool meta story. Expands upon the first one and makes the whole franchise mythology richer. Though, the ending is a little confusing. And returning to some places time and again toward the end got a bit tedious. Overall I enjoyed it, though.

I enjoyed this one. I was intrigued by it and wanted to play it. Owned it a few months before I did. It was a short game, I completed it (not 100%, just completed the main game) in a little over a week. There were some parts that felt a little buggy, but maybe that was just my lack of skill. I’d certainly be up for trying the sequel. Pretty entertaining stuff.

I love this one. It was the 2nd “Choose Your Own Adventure” type game I got into (after The Quarry) and the first ever game that I 100%-ed. Was into bit and played through the story several times to get all achievements. Probably one of my favorites so far.

Pretty cool game and concept. I like the way that it tied into Alan Wake just a little bit. Maybe overstayed its welcome just a touch at the end. Good game overall.

I got a lot of enjoyment out of this one. It’s part retro adventure, part… like… a farming game. It’s irreverent but adorable. Maybe not on par with the best of the best, but I really had enjoyment pretty much the whole way through.

This one was a fun time. Horror in space. It’s a remake and I’ve never played the original but this was great fun. Pretty good story, really fun gameplay, music is just kind of ambient spooky noises. But all in all great stuff.

Visually: absolutely stunning. This also harkened back to the Final Fantasy games of my youth, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed the game, the story was pretty good, the way that you gradually get the powers of the different Eikons and seeing them work is great. I did feel that it was a bit easy, though. I don’t consider myself a particularly skilled gamer and I had no trouble in about 95% of the fights. Also, there were WAY too many repetitive side quests that just felt like busy work. All in all a great experience. I’d play a sequel… just some mild annoyances kept me from loving instead of really liking this game.

Just got a Nintendo Switch (birthday present to myself, 2022) and I’m enjoying the hell out of F-Zero on Nintendo Switch Online.

I played this one as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I completed it. I really enjoyed it… it was maybe the first game I completed in the new video game hobby.

I love this game, the concept, the nature vs. tech theme, the story… just about everything about it. I’ve tried to put it down for now and can’t. Probably my favorite game since beginning gaming again (writing this Sept. 2022).

This one was a fun one. It did get just the tiniest bit tedious after a while, but it is really fun and spooky and I had a lot of fun with it. Card game, found footage, retro, etc., there’s a lot here. There is seemingly another game mode after you finish the game. I started it, but it’s very similar to the beginning. Probably gonna let it go for now (January 2023). Really cool and fun stuff, though.

I finished the story of the main game here last night and I absolutely loved this game. I like the story, I felt it was original, I like the fact that the characters in the game don’t look like the actors in any of the Spider-Man movies that have been out, I like everything, I guess. Fantastic game. I kept thinking throughout playing, “Man… this is probably the closest you could get to actually feeling like you’re Spider-Man.” Absolutely great stuff.

This is another great, great entry into the Spider-Man games by Insomniac. I really had thoughts of trying for platinum, but there are other things I wanna play and other things I wanna do so maybe not just yet. I could fully see myself returning to this and the original, though. Absolutely great games that I love.

This game, much like the original, was (no pun intended) amazing. It wasn’t nearly as long as the first, but the story and gameplay are just as good. Fantastic stuff. This Spider-Man franchise of games may be among my very favorites.

This game was pretty good. I decided to play it because it’s discussed as being among the best stories in gaming. I feel it executed that aspect pretty well. The main character John Marston was super likable, there was great, heartfelt, and humorous voice acting and dialogue, good stuff. I did feel that the game started to drag out story-wise at one point, but later understood why it was done this way. Good stuff, all in all.

A big game that pulled me a bit into checking out a PS5 in the first place. I completed it, but need to go back and 100% it, haven’t had a huge pull to go back and do so, though.

Got my Nintendo Switch today and beat this on the couch on normal difficulty in about 20 minutes. Still have fond memories of it from when I was a kid, though.

It’s the classic. I played through again when I got the Switch. Nothing that I’ll probably go completely crazy over or replay tons… but again… it’s the classic.

This one was kinda entertaining. But really… like a similar ending to the prior Dark Pictures entry. Also, I was kinda like “That’s it?” at the end. Maybe it felt a little abrupt or unfulfilling. Still the same kind of fun as all the other Supermassive games of this nature and not terrible.

I did one playthrough of this after I’d done The Quarry a few times. (Same developer.) I don’t think I’ve played it enough to rate it and I’ve definitely been thinking about getting back to it. Returned to this October 2022 and played through again in a few days. Maybe not a gripping as The Quarry, but I’d say there’s a chance I’d return to any of these Supermassive horror choose your own adventure type games. Good stuff.

This was pretty good. Well written and acted, just like the main game. I really like it, but it’s very short. I played it in about three hours. Really like, not love for me. Played through this in 2 sittings, both on 10/08/22.

Still playing as of writing this, Sept. ‘22 Finished my first playthrough of the main game late afternoon 9/25/22. Great stuff. Great story, very touching. Really appealed to the stepdad side of me. VERY much looking forward to the upcoming HBO TV show now.

Absolutely great story. I got to this one so soon after finishing the first partly because the television adaptation is coming soon. Now I’m having doubts as to whether the TV show is gong to be able to match the caliber of the storytelling here. I had very minor irritation at thinking the game was ending after a very long cinematic part toward the end…. but with what this game was able to make me feel about certain characters and how much the whole story affected me, I can’t not give it a perfect score. Wow.

I just finished this game at the age of 45. To my recollection, I never finished it any time around when it came out some 36 years ago… but it was good enough to keep me captivated all these years later. That’s something. On to Zelda II!

I loved this one. I had the day off when I got it and the feeling I got when doing the first playthrough… I don’t know… something special about that. I need to go back and 100% it.

This one was a really great game. The music from this really got me. In a good way. I downloaded the soundtrack and it may end up being one of my favorite albums of the year. Leaving at a 4.5 rating for now. The late goings got me a little frustrated, but a lot of that was my own lack of getting what I was supposed to be doing. I contemplated going 5. I really liked this one. It’s apparently a Zelda clone and now I’m wanting to try those. Great stuff.

I played through this one one time in one setting and was very moved by it. I might not mind grabbing it one day and trying to 100% it.
