Wolverine

A mutant hero primarily associated with the X-Men and The Avengers. His main mutant ability is his body's ability to heal fast and recover from what would be fatal wounds for a normal human being. Having this ability made him a candidate for the military's Weapon-X program. The project resulted in Wolverine acquiring an adamantium skeleton that replaced his own bones and three adamantium claws on each hand that breach the skin above his knuckles. Adamantium is a fictional metal in the Marvel universe that is nearly indestructible and the military bonded it to mutants like Wolverine's skeleton hoping to make them super soldiers. The origin of Wolverine is also the origin of his greatest antagonist and former friend Sabretooth who had the same procedure done to him as a result of the Weapon-X project.

He is the father of Fang. X-23 is a clone of his with identical powers. He sees her as a "daughter." He is the former husband of Ophelia Sarkissian.
