Title
The 5th gen version is great, and is almost an upgrade to THPS 2. The 6th gen version, though, is filled with questionable level design (e.g Canada) and questionable gameplay choices (e.g civvies knocking you off of your board in Airport, even more cryptic goals than the last games).

This is actually a very fascinating port! The game plays like THPS2 on the PSX, but added revert! It’s like if someone took the previous game and modified it. Like this still has the “big drop” feature that the PS2 version left out. There are even some exclusive objects to the game’s levels thats not seen in the next-gen consoles. I remember the major complaint that polorized the fanbase is when the series go for the more arcade-y style of gameplay versus the early games with their “realism”. So I’d recommend this version if having much prefer more weight to your skaters. This version is for you!

It's silly how much I love this game, compared to how much I sleep on THPS2. It's essentially the same game, with reverts and a better soundtrack, but I love this game beyond any reasonable connection to the other games in this franchise.

THPS 3 would open up the create-a-character and create-a-park suites by a factor of five (citation needed) and the levels got more insane but retained their sense of identity and fun. 3 never skimps on what made 2 great, it just improves and tweaks it a little, even if it's made clear that this is where the true growth of the series stops.

    the vague memories I have of the PS1 version was making Luigi in Custom Skater, making a park that was just a small ramp surrounded by a sea of tiger trap pits, and just having Luigi skate to his doom for eternity (about five minutes irl)
