I like weird music!

I'm open for experimental or avantgarde music. So feel free to suggest

I collect everything ,that is linked to the Sitar - for example: Lord Sitar,The Folkswingers,Bill Plummer & The Cosmic Brotherhood,Oriental Sunshine.. etc.If you have any suggestions for me,let me know.

I have a instatiable curiosity in weird,mystic,and strange music of all kind,that is - for example: Krautrock,Turkish Rock Music,Acid-Folk,Jazz,obscure Soul & Funk,Exotica etc..

I'm a Compilation lover.

    Have fun tracking them down! Most of them are from the CD era simply because of availability. I've included a few LPs only because they look supremely awesome.

    Hey velvetpunk. Thanks for the comment. There's hundreds of sitarbased albums I could reccomend but here's three from the top of my head that should fit your tastes nicely; Ananda Shankar and His Music, Magic Carpet and finally Library music and sitar combined Sitar & Electronics. And do visit that Eastern Eye-blog (link on bottom of my Mix&Comp list)

    Not for the purists, I think: Raga - Jazz Style Mehrpouya Sitar Featuring ''African Jumbo'' Curried Jazz I've listened to plenty of the authentic stuff too, but I must admit I rarely revisit all those albums with one 22 minute long sitar solo raga (+ some tabla) on side A and another on the flipside.
