Music to me, is an emotional experiece. While I've been a lover and a listener for quite some time now, I still find it difficult to review and or critique albums based on technical merit. Music ultimatly ends up being the soundtrack to my day, and my duty as the listener is to match the artist to the particular mood I'm in.

Per Example: Joy = Wilco's Summerteeth, Rage = The Stooges, Disenchanted = Jesus and Mary Chain, Suicidal = Shania Twain! You get the picture.

My musical Rosetta Stone has to be Wilco. It was 1998 and I was just a freshman at SIUC and I stumbled upon Sumerteeth and suddenly my musical cherry was popped. Prior than that I was unfortunatly a slave to my circumstances. Trapped in small town in the middle of Illinois, my only options were terrestrial radio and the horrible pop S@$t that MTV was pumping out at the time. Since discovering Wilco though, I have never looked back.
