As a teen in the nineties I got seriously into Joni Mitchell and she became my biggest idol. Also took to the whole L7/Babes in Toyland-thing as it was a sure way to get my mother worked up. But even then I listened to all sorts of music.
I'm generally attracted to female singers and musicians with a strong aura and a sense of themselves. But I consider myself openminded. Recently I find myself drawn a bit towards opera; the melodrama and all that kinda appeals to me.

I grew up in a household full of music; my father and my older brother were both obsessives. As my parents were quite old, when I was born, I've heard lots of stuff from the fifties, sixties and seventies during my childhood. Some of it has stuck.

As far as movies go I get no pleasure whatsoever watching people getting shot, stabbed, tortured, blown to smithereens or beaten up (unless it is absolutely essential to the story), so that narrows it down a bit. Carnage and gore just bore me. And as I have no interest at all in vampires, ghosts, aliens, superheroes and such piffle, well that narrows it even further down. Of course there's exceptions - especially if Johnny Depp has a part! And I do like a good fairytale once in a while ...
My main interest lies in people - they're plenty alien to me. In other words - the human comedy (and tragedy). Being an avid reader I cannot say that movies as such is my first choice of entertainment either.

Also love cats; I've got a ferocious beauty at the moment called Nico. Fearsome (and cute).
