yeah rene laloux is so awesome. so far ive only seen fantastic planet and gandahar but i really want to see if i can find some of his short films

same here. i have no idea why but i just absolutely love that sound of things being quickly looped over and over and taken completely out of context. before i was even really into much outside of metal i heard OPN's replica and was instantly hooked.

its just the right amount of nostalgia and pretentious conceptual work to really get me going haha.

definitely spent some more time with OPN, r plus 7 is like vaporwave commenting on itself in this weird though love kind of way haha, it was in my top 3 of last year.

and yeah all my roommates and i loved morbus, and we were stoked for the new record, but i honestly was still surprised by what they ended up doing. towards a dark sky is still fighting for top spot as my favorite song from this year.
