Much like any substance in the known universe can be reduced to some combination of entities listed in the Periodic Table of Elements, I believe any music in the known universe can be reduced to some combination of the following musical entities.

a) Melt-Banana
b) Morton Feldman
c) The Byrds

The difference of course is that these are not atomic entities in themselves, but my point is that they contain all necessary subunits to achieve the stated theoretical objective. Further, I believe that there is no smaller set of (hierarchically equal) musical entities for which this claim can be made. I think The Byrds are interchangeable with other entities for these purposes, but not the other two.
