Referring to you review of the Escala album, which was clearly in reply to my own (again RYM's guidelines, by the way), I didn't say that Cowell's involvement made them any less talented. I said Cowell's involvement made the album less original. That follows, and that's true. I think you missed the point of my review. And using the 'better known songs sells better' does not really help - it's their involvement with Cowell that made them do these covers, because people like Cowell only care about record sales. If they were with another company, they might have given the girls more artisitc license and be willing to take risks. Thus my criticism was not with the girls, but with the unoriginal record company, and unfortunately, that effects the quality of the album.
You certainly one of the better named people on here, thanks for the add back man. Awesome taste, you probally have been collecting ever since childhood.
