You've accidentally stumbled upon my page, while you're here feel free to browse and laugh at my horrendous musical taste.
--About me--
I guess my username is the best place to start explaining me and my approach to music.
"Tabula rasa" refers to the general school of thought that humans are born without inherent programming, I try to apply this principle to my ratings and reviews and keep my bias to a minimum.
Call me pretentious but I'd like to think that this is the best course of action, methodically speaking.
What this entails in practice, is that it can take an eternity to tack a rating onto albums of musical genres I'm not familiar enough with or albums that have growth potential.
--My Ratings--
Even though I am convinced that something as complex as a personal opinion should not be expressed numerically, it's pretty much the way to go if you want to continually expand your horizon, while contextualizing it in light of what you've already heard.
My star-ratings don't really have deeper meaning, but if I feel a rating needs further justification, I'll try to review or comment on it.
--My Reviews--
I don't review all that often, but when I do I usually spend a lot of time on them.
My comments in the review section vary from nonsensical, to short summaries of my thoughts on an album or artist.

"Quotes: Because someone before you has said it best." - ???
- "There's nothing inherently sacred about old music, it's just old." - Salvatore Spencer
- "If music is dying, musicians are killing it." -Mike Patton
- "Music changes when people hear it" -Robert Fripp
- "When people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had, and never will." -Edgar Watson Howe

P.S.:
-"This isn't (Genre X), this is actually (Genre Y). If you think this is (Genre X), please stop listening to music."-
If this type of review looks familiar and you can indeed claim this sort of review as one of your own conceptions, please hurtle yourself ass first into an industrial wood shredder. It's narrow-minded people like you who hamper progress of the medium by attempting to categorise everything.
