Thank you. I made that track back in September 2015. I was mainly influenced by the collaboration Tanner Garza did with Vomir. Having small ambient melodies lingering beneath a harsh noise wall. We'll have a small run of tapes later on this month if you're interested.
Thanks for the nice feedback on my 2016 list, need to check out the new beketh nexehmu by the way. What a collection dude, really impressive. Since how many years do you buy/collect stuff?
hah, well how about that! Thanks for the add. Really enjoying your lists. I write a bunch of reviews because they're kind of like notes to self so if I get on the page years down the pike I can see what I thought the last time I had it in rotation. Really wanted to like that Slaegt record more. Today I've been playing Ruhonkantaja and Récits patriotiques from your 2017 list and really enjoying both of them, cheers!
I liked that new demo you posted more than the big LP from last year actually, can't quite place my finger on why though. Also just today realized how amazing Bekëth Nexëhmü is, basically exactly what I want from atmospheric BM.
oh man this stuff looks like exactly what I'm into. Definitely gonna dig around that bandcamp page. Might get a shirt just to throw some money their way. What's special about it to me is that it's atmospheric and textural but still super raw and cold, too much atmoBM is the boring new stuff. Along those lines, something I found recently that you might dig is this Vampirska Kakofonija album by Obskuritatem - not available digitally anywhere though so I had to pirate a rip. But still, along those lines, super dense and atmospheric but raw as hell, they nail the sound.
ah well that makes sense. What did they work together on? That Trolldom EP might be my favorite from the whole thing but I gotta do some more digging. I caved and bought the Beketh Nexehmu shirt. Weird how he says that "95%" of the Beketh stuff is improvised, but I don't buy that, it's too structured. And how Ancient Records isn't even a label, just a grouping of the associated acts. Part of the fun of this stuff is uncovering the mystery.
