rating system:
5 - one of the few perfect all-time favorite albums
4.5 - Either an almost perfect album with a few minor flaws, or an album I really like overall, just not enough to call it one of my favorites
4 - a great album. Solid work with maybe a few imperfections or things I just don't quite like about it. If I can listen to an album over and over, it probably is at least a 4.
3.5 - Above average, but not the best. Something I will listen to once in a while, or an album where I really like some tracks but not all. An OK album overall.
3. - average. I mean, not average by what I listen to, because obviously the fact I'm trying to find good music means I will tend to find albums I like - instead this is average as in, nothing really special about it. It might just be really typical predictable music, or something that isn't bad but it just doesn't move me at all.
2.5 - A little below average. Probably won't hold up to repeated listenings, and I may/may not keep the album (if I downloaded it).
2 - I don't like it, but I can at least understand why people could like it. It might have some redeeming aspects, but also contain aspects that really turn me off to the music. Or the music might just be pretty shitty in general, but not horrible.
1.5 - Pretty bad. Something I will never listen to again. It's hard for me to grasp why anyone would like this music in general. Either a really shitty album or something that lost my interest right away. Could be an album where I like one track, and hate the rest.
1 - Really bad. Painful to listen to all the way through. No redeeming qualities, complete shit, etc.
.5 - Devin Townsend's "Terria"

jealous ):
Why? at Pitchfork music festival.
Holla
What's not to like? Acoustic meditations of an ever so slightly left of centre kind. It's a much easier listen than I expected....anyway, will listen some more for sure.
Cheers!
