Ultravisitor's a bit odd, probably my least favourite (not including last year's - to me it doesn't exist). Iambic Poetry and Tetra Sync are lovely though. I couldn't recommend a single album to 'get into' TJ because they all have their strengths and weaknesses. It's a case of finding the one that suits you. So... in other words... get them all! :D

And with regard to your question to GJ about manipulating sounds, I would use Ableton if you just want to warp and chop stuff in a basic (but nevertheless in-depth) way, or Reaktor if you have any knowledge of sound programming. Both are easily torrentable.
