I have a personal-recommendation-from-strangers fetish.
I am aware one of this website's purposes is to allow people to find new music without relying on the limited knowledge of any one particular human being through the limitless resources offered by cleverly designed algorithms.
I don't care. I still enjoy an album +25% through the act of imagining another person's particular relationship to it. It's a sort of musical voyeurism - getting off to tunes someone's getting off to.
What can I say? It defies the cold logic behind the automation of knowledge-sharing in favour of the romanticism of long-distance exchange of audio-spiritual fluids.
So if you dig this kind of stuff, hit that rec button. I am into giving too.

I rate things for archival purposes, cursed as I am by a goldfish-like memory. If I let myself write a review, it turns out absolutely technically unhelpful and very unnecessarily philosophical. I put the 'ethics' in 'aesthetics', so to speak. It's unfortunate déformation professionnelle.
Newly opened YT channel on which I upload albums I enjoy that are somewhat trickier to get hold of: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpM3bsiRYFEF3qfNudtU_Gg If something I upload is not available in your country, feel free to PM me!

You know Abishai also? Then you just might have found me through him (a lot of users do). Very nice and cool guy. I consider him as one of my best virtual friends on here.
I read that you have a fetish for recommendations from strangers. Well, I might just give you one. Don't know if you ever heard of Devil Doll though.
If you haven't I recommend the first album. It's kind of become a tradition of mine where I recommend DD to friends I just met. I've turned about 10+ friends into DD fans :3 If you like Avant-Garde/ Progressive Rock/ Symphonic music, then check it out (if you haven't already that is). Peace out.
I also like both of your names. Sybilla sounds cool and exotic (not sure what it means though). And ArtOfNoise is the name of a list I have! Take your time with the suggestion.
"The Girl Who Was... Death" is actually one long composition that is 66 minutes and 6 seconds in length (watch out for those 25 minutes of silence near the end!). Remember, don't feel pressured as if you have to love it. Even if you hate it, do tell me! (you might think that Devil Doll is very weird. They are!). I am still interested in your thoughts.
I also welcome suggestions (and they don't have to be Metal), but you don't have to give me anything if you don't want to (I don't mind).
One problem for me is my internet. It is very slow, so I can't stream or download music from it. Whenever I need to check out albums suggested to me, I have to go all the way to the public library to do so (sad but true). Sigh, you are about the 20th person I have had to tell this. It may take me longer to check out recs. but I will still do my best to check them out!
"Trascendencia" (Spanish for "Transcendence", but I am sure you knew that already, as both words are very similar) is a meaningful, beautiful, and inspirational word for me. So that is why I chose it as my last user name.
I had a feeling that is what your name meant (I researched it), but I wasn't entirely sure (you can't believe everything you read on the internet). That is a very nice, unique, and mystical-sounding name! (never met anyone with it!).
Yes, listening to music is harder for me, but I still will try to get to all the suggestions that are given to me. I am actually from California. I was born and raised here. Life for me is not entirely great but I try to carry on. I suffer from depression and anxiety, so that makes it hard for me. I got a question: Is that really you in the profile photo? Also, I find the "musical voyeurism" and "audio-spiritual" things interesting.
