Platform fighting
Genre
Platform fighters are fighting games that use platformer elements, featuring large arenas where the player must jump around using typical "platforms" to fight their opponents. Movement is usually very quick where characters can run around each other with ease and fighting arenas have a tendency to move, change their layout, or add in various obstacles to keep players on their toes. The most commercially successful platform fighting series is Super Smash Bros. [大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ], but other games include Small Arms, Kung Fu Chaos and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
