The single most harrowing online experience I've ever had

It's terrifying and almost beautiful to see the remains of this shrine to the late garish 90s 'cool' aesthetic crumble around you. There's a profound sense of how advanced and cool Worlds thought it was, and an almost Ozymandian nature, then, to its irrelevance. Move your eerie 2D sprite of a kid in a tie dye shirt through what used to be rooms filled with people using outdated internet slang. The reality of the thing is what makes it so horrifying. It seems to scream "IT'LL HAPPEN TO YOU".

What's left of Worlds is labrynthian; there are parts locked away that you can't access without a direct link there, which can only be gotten from someone who already knows their way around, as far as I know. And that means befriending the few terrifyingly devoted locals still left (much scarier than the infamous cult of Nexialist who rile people up for laughs).

Nothing sums up the experience like Bowieworld, an area promoting Bowie's early 2000s best of release, especially since his recent (as of writing) death. It just hammers home the sepulchral nature of the place.

Once of the most profound interactive experiences out there and one created by its own failure. BEAUTIFUL

This game is an aesthetically pleasing masterpiece of a game. I suggest playing it while listening to Far Side Virtual or any utopian virtual release on rateyourmusic. the only negative i can really say is with a personal gripe with the creator. I dont need to explain why, Thats on you to find out, Patent trolls and such, And also the absolutely dead but somehow still alive; playerbase, There are still starter worlds that are still up to get avatars from, etc, And visit, if you want a game to visit and try for nostalgia value, This is one of them.
