Why is the rating so low?

If my base (non-Pro) PS4 can run Nioh 1 and 2 with no apparent problems, would I be able to run this? Or should I just wait until I get a PS5? Or wait for KT to optimize their shit?

Pretty good game although the difficulty curve is a bit of a mess. Having to place all the flags again on NG+ made me stop playing lol

criminal rating mess. game's incredibly satisfying and cool to play, very well introduced mechanics and genre fusion, good OST and very pleasant aesthetics. Team Ninja knew what they were doing

So far I would rank the team ninja soulslike games like Nioh 2 > ffo: stranger of paradise > wo long > Nioh. I think the biggest upgrade in Wo Long is actually the level design! I really love the encouragement to explore with the battle flag system. I also think they’ve put a lot more effort in having a few really spectacular stand out bosses that act as skill/build checks for the player. A bit more than half way through my first play through excited to see more of it!! Team ninja is honestly on a unbelievable streak of incredible games tbh

this game simply doesnt have the swag of their last few games (doa6 and fire emblem aside). it's not bad, it just isn't very remarkable.
