Easily the best deck builder since slay the spire though while it doesn’t quite reach the same mechanical brilliance of that game it makes up for it with absolutely gorgeous art and lovely music that really adds a thematic incentive to the gameplay.
My favorite part of this game is all the accidental suicide plays I’ve made in the mid and late game where I didn’t correctly calculate what was going to happen haha almost spelunky levels of slapstick comedy. I heard this game reviewed negatively on steam on release I guess for the difficulty in combination with it’s cutesy aesthetic (weird when the most recent example of this I can think of is cuphead which was pretty much beloved on release). It seems that reception has improved somewhat from what I understand. I’ve played 15 hours and I only just beat my first run but each run feels great and excited still imo!
Dunno why it has such a low average here, but maybe they’re early access votes?
