Just finished the game and I must have been blessed by the Omnissiah because I got no game breaking bugs.
The game is cool for all the lore and companions quests and the really great depiction of the 40K universe but I was glad it was over. Got 120h and by the 20th hour or so all fights were basically the same it became just ultra boring with buffing one character to the max and see Argenta decimate absolutely everything in one turn, even before any enemy can act. All of this in core difficulty. I can't even tell you what the last boss does because he was wiped out right before doing anything. And it's not just a "build optimization" problem because most of the combats are not really tactically interesting, it's basically just the game throwing at you between 10 and 20 enemies.
So yeah, combat is not really interesting once you understand officers are absolutely OP, that Cassia is also OP and if you find your way in the absolutely AWFUL skill system. The UI of this thing is just an abomination and you get so many levels, that doing that for all of your 6 characters in your party becomes a fucking chore. It's really the first RPG where I actually despised gaining more levels because it meant dealing with the fucking skill system where you have to basically reread everything and do the math for every shit yourself. (for real, wtf is this : "Deals (from (1 + (psyker's psy rating + 1) x resolve / 4) to (4 + (psyker's psy rating + 1) x resolve /4)) direct damage.") By the end of the game you keep gaining levels but there so many skills that you either stop leveling up or just choose random stuff that you don't even need.
Another big problem at the moment is the whole exploration thing. Scanning planets is nice and all but you get a loading screen between each of the small things and it's really starting to be annoying when you just want to go from the bridge, to the star system, to the Expense map. Really annoying.
Colony management and ship battles are there, that's all i can say. Also, you can get even more good buffs with some colony projects.
On the good side, yeah, some quests are really excellent, writing overall is good, really funny at times too and I found the companions really interesting, especially Pasqal (ok, I just love anything Adeptus Mechanicus tbh). You also can follow 3 paths (that can also provide bonuses, so most of the time it's better to stick to one) that will dictates your decisions and honestly some of them and their implications were quite difficult especially when you try not to be a God-Emperor zealot or a Chaos-loving heretic. In the art domain, some maps are just gorgeous and music overall is also pretty good.
So yeah, the game might be good if you're a Warhammer fan, interested in the lore and can get past some of it's core problem, otherwise I wouldn't really recommend it, at least not full price.

it's so sad that all the new 40K games will be by the new stupid editions. with primaris, imperial grav-tanks, three-legged necrons and other degenerate novations
