Pretty cute, with some great pixel art and bright, energetic music. Plays a little like a mix of R-Type and Forgotten Worlds, but unfortunately the 360-degree aiming of the latter is hamstrung by a shift to strictly two-button rotation instead of the smoother roll switch setup. It makes the aiming jerky and unreliable, which is a shame since later levels all but require precise control of your gun-arm to block shots. I could easily see this finding new life on modern platforms if it was rereleased with a better control scheme, but as it stands the format gets in the way of a perfectly serviceable game.
