Triple Play 2000 was EA's first foray into baseball on the N64. As far as options and gameplay go, it's about on par with All-Star and Ken Griffey Jr.'s and is easy to pick up and play. Like other EA Sports games of its time, the game's music, sound design and commentary are particularly well-done. Visually, it's muddy, unfortunately not making use of the Expansion Pak, but the models and animations look great. The framerate is reasonable but hitches at times, particularly when the ball is struck, which is a little jarring.
I had to knock this one down a little for playing up in the menus; there's often significant delay scrolling through teams, and it repeatedly locked up my console completely when selecting a stadium. Switching between a Jumper Pak and Expansion Pak made no difference.
