Title
What is it with Ninja Kiwi and their games being so addictive? On paper this game should suck. Full of IAP's on top of adds every few minutes and a complete P2W PvP, nearly auto-battle RPG and yet I can't stop playing?

It must be my love the grind and the numbers crunching, because this game is full of it. It's all about upgrading your heroes, going to the right missions to get the proper materials or rewards and focusing on making your team much stronger. There's plenty to do aside from crafting weapons, there is the tower mode where you set up teams of heroes, monsters and machines (the later 2 which you collect and craft) to set up the best defense as you will get it attacked when you are offline (in the same way you get to attack others towers if you wish). Another form of PvP is your team of 4 heroes vs their team of 4 heroes, this one is a real time battle. Single player content includes campaigns, catacombs and wizard tower which all have rather scaling difficulty. The game is pretty much about planning because the battle the only thing that you control is when you want to do a heroes special skill (the bar is cumulative for all your heroes, so you get to choose which one you want for the current situation). Otherwise the heroes just auto-attack with random basic skills chosen. Setting up a balanced team is the challenge of the game mostly, and it's actually harder than it seems.

This game isn't "good" and will be easily dismissed by serious gamers. But there's just something about it that keeps me coming back everyday and it's really fun. There's just so much to do when you login, and I don't seem to have hit any paywalls yet, but it's definitely a long slow grind. I feel that it's rewarding in the end, but I would fully understand that this isn't everyone's cup of tea.
