A short 2 hour walking simulator about a woman who has suffered through the treatments of psyquiatric asylums of the late 30's. It has a bleak atmosphere, and could very well be recognized as horror game for everything except actual jumpscares. Actually, knowing that there are thousands of these stories that have actually happened makes this game much more frighting than tons of horror games out there.
The gameplay department leaves quite a lot to be desired. Its a lot of go to A and go to B, but often the indications of where to go are unclear. The map is not big at all, but this can leave to some moments of being stuck, which are even more frustrating considering the very slow walking speed of the main character.
Despite the weak gameplay, some of the cutscenes through the form of hallucinations and flashbacks are truely disturbing. Its not so sucessful as a game, but its incredibly sucessful as a documentary showing how these "health" institutions treated people with these diseases. It goes a long way into painting the suffering of the patients, the evilness of people who abused them, the negligency of many caretakers, and the willfulness of a few to do the best they could with the little they had. A memorable experience.
