Title
This is the best competition to Planescape:Torment for the "Video Games can be as literary successful as Novels" throne. There are plenty of games that are the product of devoted effort but TSWCE is the clearest example of a true labor of love by the developer. The story is a beautiful blend of thoughtful political/social themes and the best video game writing you'll ever read. TSWCE contains unfortunate adventure game tropes like fetch quests, pixel hunting, and backtracking but nothing that should dissuade gamers.
