[Disclaimer: This review is based on version 0.4.1 of the game and it's not a finished product.]
This game is rather unfinished, albeit with an interesting concept. However, in my opinion, it doesn't stand out much.
The storyline is mediocre, revolving around a killer who targets prostitutes. You, the main character, aren't a prostitute, yet the killer pursues you for unclear reasons. Your objective is simply to go home while evading the killer.
First, let's discuss the positives. The game exudes a nice old-fashioned vibe and the gameplay is decent, especially when graphics settings are lowered. Despite using a 3070 Ti, I experienced lag on the "fantastic" setting. I appreciated the mechanic where you have to left-click to gain adrenaline for increased speed and survivability while being chased. Additionally, the initial part where the killer drives around in his car is cool.
Now, onto the negatives. The map and structures are poorly designed, with awkward and nonsensical layouts. Navigating through thin passages in houses while being chased by the killer often leads to frustrating collisions with walls. I recommend playing in first-person mode rather than third-person for smoother gameplay. The killer can easily glitch out. The rooftop section was particularly problematic, with clunky controls and unexplained deaths. The subway section felt unnecessary as it lacked any significant events. Finally, in the last section, the killer inexplicably camps a house, leaving players with few options and resulting in swift death if spotted.
Overall, this game fails to impress. While playable, it lacks standout features and suffers from various flaws. I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it.
