A very accessible and short platformer that has some cryptic details. While it's easy enough to beat it by yourself, there are useful power-ups that could have been very welcome to utilise in the gameplay, but just like Druaga, you need to meet very specific location conditions to uncover them. That's a big shame, because missing out on them forces you to stick to kicking instead of shooting slingshots, and be limited to a playing session of tediousness.

Although it has stages, the game is not strictly linear, and there will be lots of exploring rooms and backtracking to be able to find and free the other Goonies and find the keys for the next stage. This will be further explored in the sequel, and be an important step in developing the metroidvania genre.
