Spyro: A Hero's Tail

the mole levels were so tedious to play. despite that, the game looked great; it's very colourful and attractive. but the changes that they made to insomniac's characters were so strange - very off-putting if you adore the original trilogy. moneybags was by far the strangest change. D Grade.

it at least tried to do something new, i feel the "saturday morning cartoon" vibe is a little heavy handed but it still lends the game a comfy vibe

I grew up on the original games, played all the TLOS games, and although I noticed that this was a spin-off that could've only been made if they had no plans for the series, it's still kinda really good. Also it's got this sort of comfort to it. (though that might be the nostalgia speaking).

I really like the art design but the level design is a mixed bag and the writing is pretty bad. Kind of annoying game, could have been a lot better

i used to hate on this because of its differences to the original trilogy. but looking back on it, it's not that bad of a game. in fact, it's quite good.
