Title
Roblox is a game I have a weird relationship with. I started playing this game around the beginning of 2007 and fell in and out until around new years 2009, when it finally clicked and I began playing this game religiously.

How one wishes it was still the way it once was.

Roblox began turning into a train hurtling toward a brick wall with broken brakes around 2014. Don't get me wrong - The engine has consistently gotten better and better (mostly, I'm not a huge fan of smooth terrain) but Roblox's pivot toward mostly profit-driven decisions has been detrimental toward the game's community and their inability to take into account the desires and feedback from users has caused a sort of wall between the users and the company itself. This mixed with many, many other factors (abuse of DevEx, gentrification of games and mass monetization, etc.) has caused this game to become a shell of it's former self, near unrecognizable from what was once a goldmine of potential to release creativity.

Hopefully they'll get back on track some day, add the forums back and start taking more community feedback. Until then, I don't have much hope for this game.

also UGC creators are degenerates and furries are fucking stupid :D

    there definitely was some capitalists in early 2010s roblox already but im kinda broken thinking about some happy little person making stuff in this game without any thought in their mind about relevancy or money. and it just naturally becoming a core memory for multiple ppl and being remembered as important & iconic and it all just being a natural process full of love & genuineness... like the fact that some corny bullshit like feed the guest or survive jason in the woods would end up being so important to me & others is kinda wild to me

    what im saying is that i think it's a lil bit sad that 2020s kids will only have skibidi among us rich money flex granny simulator as a nostalgic childhood memory and not something more geniune
