Racing

Even if you aren't expecting much from a budget PS1 racing game, 'Racing' offers next to nothing for the player. This is a run of the mill circuit racer with only a few tracks and cars, which you unlock by winning each race. Once you get a handle on the bizarre steering, the first race is easy to win. However, getting past the second race takes some true skill. The car is much faster and its handling is much more slippery and unpredictable. The second track is far more difficult. Personally, I wasn't able to beat this, but if you do, you'll unlock a track that's shaped like Monza with an LM car to go with it. Seems like a short and sweet Ridge Racer experience on paper, but the physics are too frustrating to bother with. Somehow this also has less content than the original Ridge Racer.
