one of my favourite games to play with friends over nowadays, we refer to it solely as blocks and have gotten incredibly competitive

This - as Tetris Attack - was probably my favorite SNES game. And it still is! My 5 year old loves watching it and also always calls it "blocks". So simple. Only gripe is that I wish there was a mode that was even harder.
