A kind of dumbed down experience of Ark/Conan but more refined and polished in some ways that appeals to a bigger audience.

The genius here is how well the pals are integrated in every aspect of the game: combat, exploration, base management. In each area they provide something different, at times entirely unique, so experimenting with the system is rewarding: there is an incentive to catching new pals beyond the autistic-completionist goal of having them all. It is not a gimmick -- it is fully utilized in every sense; pals have different combat proficiencies, pals have different speeds as mounts (riding, swimming, flying), pals have different abilities assigned to your base.

Perfect score is given with an expectation of further improvement. The game is nowhere near finished but the potential is nothing short of tiltillating.
