probably true for park players they seem to be okay with making single player modes bearable and then extorting park players for all they're worth

In terms of online modes, yeah, I can see that argument but mechanically the game has never had this much depth and variance. They've improved heavily on historic MyLeague and some other features which IMO is the real meat and potatoes of the game.
