If you want something that builds off of the cleverness, atmosphere, and calming nature the first game offered, this is what you should play afterward. All of the background, atmosphere, uniqueness, puzzle creations, and design are boosted in this game expansion.
The only downside to this expansion is that the story from the original game is not as omnipresent. The game takes place after the first game as the main character continues to restore more monuments. That's most of the story you're given, minus The Totem's multiple inclusions in this version. This game is what you expect from the first ten chapters. I saw myself constantly knowing how to get to point A to point B and quickly tapping to get to the next part of the chapter. That also comes with a lack of challenge. "The Serpent Lake" and "Nocturne" would be the only chapters with a challenging twist to the game.
The game still has charm, even when lacking in story and challenge. I was constantly wowed by the many puzzle designs and obstacles the game throws at the player. I enjoy "The Citadel of Deceit" as the game forces the player to change their perspective on how they view the game. There's also the chapter "The Oubliette", which feels like an expansion of "The Box" from the first game after the first part of the chapter but way more interactable movement-wise.
I enjoy this take on the game. This expansion should be checked out if you enjoyed the game this version is expanding on.
