Successfully captures the feel of classic SMT games (Nocturne comes to mind) in it's exploration, the feel of Persona through it's story telling, and the feel of Fire Emblem through it's tactical gameplay albeit more freeform as opposed to grid based. While all these elements work great in tandem, on their own they fail to live up to their contemporaries.
Aside from it's frustrating overreliance on grinding, Monark is still a fun take on the tactical RPG genre and has a surprisingly satisfying pick-up-and-play feel to it.
Can't forget to mention the banger soundtrack!

sank like 3 hours into the demo, definitely better than i expected. i'd probably grab if it there weren't more salient games in the same vein on offer right now like SMT5.
