It was a lot of fun playing Momodora 1-3 after playing the excellent Reverie Under the Moonlight (and easy to do since all three games take an hour-ish to beat and cost virtually nothing online). Each game is good in its own right, but it is cool to see how each one felt like a blueprint working towards that fourth game.
This one is definitely the most polished of the first three, but has weirdly easy bosses (and I played it on hard!) and tosses out the superior metroidvania structure of the second game in favour of a less-exciting linear structure. Glad Bombservice went back to metroidvania for the fourth game!
