Kuukiyomi is a very simple micro-game series that doesn't require much of the player's time in order to fully experience what it has to offer. The goal of the game is to play it as if you're taking a personality test. You're given 100 different scenarios, and depending on what you do during these scenarios, you will receive a numerical evaluation of your supposed contextual awareness. Chances are, if you know that this game exists, you've possibly already seen somebody play this as streaming material. Possibly somebody of the... vtuber variety? It's how I found out about it, though I know people like Jerma have streamed it as well.
Because of this, I know that the average score of these streamers fall somewhere around 400 out of 1000 points. Jerma got a 442, for reference. The very highest score I was able to obtain was about 700, which is 100 points more than the highest score I've seen from a streamer (Hoozuki Warabe with a score of 612). On the the other hand, the lowest score I've seen a streamer get was a 141 which came from Hari Ryu from Nijisanji's Korean division. My personal lowest score was 107, though I've found that if you do literally nothing for the entire 100 scenarios, you get a score of 92.
More highlights!
Look, I collected all this useless information so you might as well learn from it, too
Highest score from Hololive: Nakiri Ayame with 597 (Mio close behind with 591)
Lowest score from Hololive: 164 from Astel Leda (lowest score for female was Ayunda Risu with 241, followed by EN's Hakos Baelz at 244, and finally JP's Inugami Korone with 255)
Highest score from Nijisanji: Yumeoi Kakeru with 597 (Sister Claire fittingly being the next highest with 582)
Lowest score from Nijisanji: Hari Ryu with 141 (lowest from the JP division being Gundo Mirei of course with a 153)
Lowest score from a native English speaker: Artemis with a 216
This means Jerma gets the highest native English speaker score of 442
Kizuna Ai got a 522.It's somewhat amusing to watch a vtuber bumble through this game, though is it really worth your time as a person playing alone? I bought the game myself for only about $3 and I gave it a few spins. I wasn't disappointed, though be aware that you are likely to get less than an hour of entertainment from this.
Generally, being 'polite' or being 'aware' (or in other words, performing the action that seems 'normal') is what will net you more points, though there are a handful of scenarios where the 'correct' option isn't entirely clear at first. Some of these scenarios include one where you are on a quiz show and you are asked "which game is this??" with 2 and 3 being the options. Somebody speeding through the game will quickly pick 3 and think nothing of it. However, if you wait just a few more seconds before answering, a member of the studio will slowly inch his way onto the screen, holding a sign that says 'the studio has no budget!'. This means picking the wrong answer on purpose will be the choice that nets you more points, though the game has no indication of this anywhere. Not only that, but the controls are generally a guessing game in most of these scenarios. You may be surprised to find out what you can do during some of these situations, since the makers of this game have considered just about every outcome. Play around with it and find out what's possible!
All that being said, the 'real' way to play this game is to do whatever the hell you want. Unfortunately though, only some of these scenarios are amusing by themself. Most of these scenarios are 'whatever'. Choosing between an upside down bottle and a rightside up bottle? Who cares! If the game had some way of letting you see what you did right and what you did wrong, the results would be more interesting. But as it is, the results are cut and dry. Without other scores to compare yourself to, this experience is mostly meaningless. Because of this,
I will provide my extensive list of vtuber scores for you to compare yourself against. (that last sentence is a hyperlink by the way, it's pretty hard to see on glitchwave's light theme) Enjoy. Otherwise, if you don't find the 'number' aspect of this game to be interesting, you better skip this one.
